"Organisational culture has been under extensive academic debate. There are several definitions of what constitutes as organisational culture, however, a re-occurring theme in all the definitions suggest a 'shared meaning' amongst organisational members.
"Organisational culture defines an organisation as 'who they are', 'what they do' and 'how they do it'. It guides organisational members as to what is accepted and not accepted in an organisation and, furthermore, the values, beliefs, assumptions and norms of the organisation."
