878 words (approx. 3.5 pages) | 0 sources | 1999 Australia

Paper Summary:

This essay outlines the basic background within "Animal Farm" and the tactics used by the pigs of the farm to establish their tyrannical rule. Reference is also made to the symbolism behind Orwell's allegorical tale.

From the Paper:

"In this animal allegory, George Orwell has accredited the pigs and dogs with accomplishing many atrocities on "Animal Farm". The pigs, as animals, arose from the repression of a tyrannical ruler only to triumph in leadership over their own kind. Many factors allowed these political creatures to take advantage of the other animals on the farm after the initial revolt against Mr. Jones."
